Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Reports To: Director of Sales

Location:  Seattle, WA
Powerit Solutions is the emerging leader in energy management controls solutions for industrial &  commercial facilities seeking to manage their use of power to create savings and increase efficiency.  The  company’s products and services provide a unique solution for these users to participate in peak demand  control and demand response programs; solutions that are quickly becoming the most clean and cost  effective methods of avoiding increases in electrical generation & instances of capacity crisis.  Powerit  Solutions is seeking to grow their team in order to manage and support the significant demand for their  product and services.
Powerit is currently hiring for an experienced Inside Sales Representative.  The Inside Sales Representative will work cooperatively with outside sales and other members of the sales and marketing team to create new customers as well as grow existing customers.  This individual must have an entrepreneurial, take-charge style and come with a solid record of hitting and exceeding quotas.  The Inside Sales Representative will conduct extensive conversations with mid-to-high level contacts and navigate corporate pathways into prospects/accounts, creating interest in Powerit and scheduling meetings (such as discovery calls and face-to-face) for the outside sales team.   Must have the ability to create a strategic sales plan and be able to prioritize and manage time around that plan.  The Inside Sales Rep must manage opportunities with the outside sales person through CRM communication and team strategy.

  •  Proactively call and track leads
  •  Support outside sales
  •  Managing pipelines
  •  Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information in a timely manner
  •  Build energy evaluations from data collected from prospects
  •  Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and
  • solutions
  •  Educate customers about terminology, features and benefits of products in order to improve
  • product sales and customer satisfaction
  •  Present price, credit and terms in accordance with standard procedures
  •  Accurately process customer transactions such as orders and quotes
  •  Setup and maintain customer files
  •  Remain current on consumer preferences, by attending sales meetings, vendor training, trade
  • shows, and/or reading trade journals
  •  Perform other duties as assigned


  •  BA or equivalent in Marketing or Business
  •  3+ years of quantifiable inside sales success: meeting or exceeding assigned revenue targets,
  • quotas or goals
  •  Prior success with solution-based sales is a must
  •  Comfortable spending up to 90% of the work day on the telephone developing prospects, following
  • up and progressing the sale
  •  Ability to build rapport with key decision makers and develop opportunities over the phone
  •  Must have the ability to prioritize and perform a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction
  •  Must have strong interpersonal, presentation, and customer-focused skills
  •  Ability to travel up to 5%

  •  Must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have high energy  
  •  A sales hunter versus account manager
  •  Must be motivated by continuous calling, asking probing questions and gathering information
  •  Must be able to process information gathered quickly and effectively to overcome objections
