Powerit Solutions is planning to launch a scalable Web Services Platform that will connect thousands of electrical devices to the Smart Grid allowing customers to optimize their electrical usage. This is completely new development requiring a Senior Software Development Engineer with experience to set the product roadmap for the future. As a new initiative, you will be defining and implementing the infrastructure for Powerit’s Hosted Platform web service. You will be heavily involved in a multitude of diverse technologies and software engineering models, including but not limited to web services, SQL databases, webservers, HTTP, WSDL, SOAP, XML, PHP and many other technologies that are used in a Service Oriented Architecture.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Ideal Candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering (Technical degree or equivalent experience may be acceptable)
• Experience with embedded, desktop and cloud based products
• Proficiency in C++, Java, SQL, PHP, preferably in Linux environments
• 7+ years software design experience
