Job Title:  Senior Software QA Engineer

Powerit Solutions is looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer. We are a successful Seattle-based growth driven Cleantech company that plugs energy-intensive businesses into the smart grid. Powerit’s Spara technology enables users to automatically increase energy efficiency, cut peak-rate usage, participate in demand response programs, and respond to dynamic pricing advantageously—without compromising quality, production, or comfort.

Summary:  

This position will drive the software test processes and content for all of our products. This person will assure the product meets customer expectations in an acceptable timeline and budget. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leveraging an international team to test multi-technology software.

Senior Software QA Engineer activities:

• Define and document testing and release process
• Oversee test content by reviewing test plans and procedures
• Design automation for nightly regression testing
• Implement functional, performance and stress test
• Report status and performance to management team

Knowledge Requirements:

• Ideal Candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Software Engineering (Technical degree or equivalent experience may be acceptable)
• Experience with embedded, desktop and cloud based products
• Experience with testing automation tools
• Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, PHP and Linux environments
• Understanding of embedded hardware system including analog and digital I/O
• 5+ years software testing experience

• Typical office environment
• Occasional domestic and international travel
